I am a passionate and driven professional with a robust background in marine pollution studies. With a solid academic foundation and extensive hands-on experience in the industry, I am committed to making a positive impact on the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems and water management. My research expertise spans various domains, including microbial ecology, water pollution, socio-ecological surveys to understand human-marine resource interactions, and remote sensing… Suite sur ORCID

Research Intern: I assessed sewage contamination by identifying pathogens of Escherichia coli and enumerating the abundance of fecal coliforms in water samples. I Cultured different strains of yeast and investigate their potential use in the extraction of bio-fuel from orange peels. Analyzed data using RStudio., Fundamental and Industrial MicrobiologyIstanbul University2024–2025
Graduate Research Assistant: I monitored the abundance and richness of fish species in the Foz Tua river. I also assisted in sampling fish from the river using electrofishing and seining. I tracked the migration behavior of tagged fish species using acoustic telemetry and passive integrated transponder (PIT) tagging. I monitored fish passage using camera capture technique. I estimated population of fish species capture-mark-release-recapture technique. I analyzed large datasets using RStudio for, Marine and Environmental Science Center (MARE)University of Lisbon2022–2023
Research Assistant: I designed, developed and performed experiments on the identification of fecal bacteria Escherichia coli in the tissues of lagoon oysters. I also assessed sewage pollution levels across the Negombo Lagoon, Sri Lanka, to evaluate the impact on the local ecosystem. I performed an overall water quality assessment of the Negombo lagoon using the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment Water Quality Index (CCME – WQI)
Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant: Assisted my research supervisor in assessing lethal concentrations levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances from pesticides on the survival of Nile tilapia. I also worked on the “HOTSPOT” project to assess the factors that promote the proliferation of phytoplankton in a mesocosm experiment. I supervised lab practicals as well as undergraduate dissertation, graded examinations, and weekly homework. I assisted in lab maintenance and organization. I tutore, Department of Fisheries and Aquatic SciencesUniversity of Cape Coast2019–2020
Research Intern: I oversaw the growth and development of tilapia fry to marketable size and ensuring optimal conditions for their cultivation. I also performed sex reversal in fingerlings to transition them from females to males through the administration of hormonal additives in their diet. I conducted regular monitoring of pond water quality to maintain optimal conditions for fish cultivation., AquacultureAquaculture Demonstration Center2019
Research Intern: I supported the research department in conducting daily monitoring of water quality parameters off the coast of Tema, Ghana, ensuring comprehensive data collection for ongoing research initiatives., Water Quality MonitoringFisheries Commission2017
Science Facilitator: Developed and implemented lesson plans that aligned with the educational standards of the Ghana Education Service (GES). Also prepared student in science toward the national exams., ScienceLegacy Academy2014–2015

Research Intern: Used flood inundation models to design areas at risk and also to carry out ground truthing investigation to understand factors which should be addressed to minimize flood risk. Also, had field experience working with the Narraganset Bay sewage treatment unit., Coastal Resource CenterUniversity of Rhode Island2018
